Upper East Pied-a-Terre

These photos show a modern renovation of a 600 square foot, post-war, one-bedroom co-op on the Upper East Side. The walls surrounding the existing kitchen were removed to open the space up to the living room. Rift-oak paneling runs the length of the hallway and conceals a washer-dryer, refrigerator, pantry and closets. The bathroom, range hood and dryer are all vented to the outside behind a panel above the kitchen sink. Built in cabinetry lines the south and west walls of the living room and conceals a large flat screen TV and A/C units. The existing wood parquet flooring was sanded down and refinished and new tile was laid in the kitchen and bathroom.

Finished project photography is by Cory Silken.
