Park Slope Apartment

This 4 bedroom, 3 bath apartment is an upgrade for a growing family, moving within the same interbellum high-rise building in Brooklyn. The unit stretches across the entire south side of the floor, flooded with light from the many windows facing south and east to the park.

As construction began, the clients wanted help with selecting soft furnishings. Having had established their aesthetic style during design development, it was a seamless transition to incorporate furniture, rugs, and accessories to fit their taste and needs.

The resulting design is clean and bright, accented with hints of color in the furniture and art, as well as fun wallpaper. The new kitchen replaces a closed off, wood-veneered, and very 1980s predecessor. A predominately white palette lets the beautiful calacatta gold backsplash take center stage. Parquet hardwood floors were refinished in the main areas with a consistent stain to provide a more cohesive flow in the open living spaces.
